The one about Bebe and Cece...

Well, I just found out that one of my favorite duos of the 80's and 90's has a new compilation project.
So, I'm definately going to add it to my collection. Now, Michael may not remmeber that he used to sing and dance to this song with me, when he was a baby, but...he did! I love to hear them praise, and here's one of the old favorites....enjoy...get your hands up! get them up!!!!

The one about encouragement...

Isn't it amazing how just a few encouraging words to someone can make a difference? I have tried to be more encouraging to people, and when I appreciate something they do, I have been trying to tell them. Well, in August I visited my parents and in- laws in Ohio and was able to visit some of the area churches. I was able to hear some people speak that I hadn't heard speak before and some that I hadn't heard in several years. It was such a blessing to hear these young guys preaching God's Word uncompromisingly. So, I decided I would write notes of encouragement to them. So, I have gotten some of them mailed, but not all of them. I still have one to write...but my mom told me the other day her pastor had gotten his card. He appreciated the kind words and I'm glad. He mentioned it to my mom. So my mom was relaying this story to me, and I was glad that Matt appreciated the card, but then I was the recipient of kind words. Mom told me that she had appreciated reaidng the blog of late and was glad to see how the Lord has been working in my life and appreciated me sharing. I always love to hear a kind word, but I especially always love to hear the praise of my parents. So, thank you, Mother! May I say I had the best example of a trusting Mom who let the Lord lead her through seven children and handling that preacher/pastor daddy of mine. (Smile) I love you, Mom! Thanks!

the one about the tea pot and cozies....

Well, I received a belated 40th birthday present this last Friday. I am tickled pink with it. I got a new tea pot. Now the tea pot itself matches my kitchen. It has grapes on it, which I love. My kitchen has hunter green counters and cherry cabinets. When I saw this, I thought grapes would go wonderful in my kitchen. Well, I got some purple colored tea towels, and gradually I've added a few things. I tried to do some painting on the wall area above the cabinets, but it didn't turn out too well. I still need to paint over that, but alas I'm getting side tracked. My mom got me some cermaic and wooden items that go with a cannister set I bought. Then my sister got me a tablecloth and placements with the grape theme.
So...my 40th b-day has arrived and my friend Beth gives me a teapot with grapes on it. It's really cute....see....

But Beth likes to do things to the max, so that wasn't enough...she made me a purple cozy for my tea pot that has the cutest little buttons as a trim around the top...

She didn't stop there though, she thought the tea pot needed a fall cozy, with sweet little fall colored leaves and some squash buttons....

Is Beth done yet....no...don't forget about a Christmas cozy adorned with snowflakes and gingerbread men....

I think these are just the cutest things. I love tea too, and the cozies are just sweet. So, I would publicly like to thank Beth for these sweet gifts. She even included an infuser with my bag of goodies. I love them all!
